A month or so ago Bodine spotted a hole on a ridge across the canyon while he was hiking. He told me about it and we decided to check it out a couple weekends ago.
I don't know the name of it, and it is not on my USGS map. Because of how unmolested it is I am not going to give out an exact location..... it is in AF Canyon though.
You cannot see this mine from below it or even level to it from most places, even if you know where it is the small amount of tailings at it's mouth doesn't belie it's presence through binoculars.
Anyway, on with the pics.
Here's a view from just below the mine after we have covered considerable distance from the Jeep.

Although the mine was quite dry, the metal has taken a pounding
Someone has recently done a survey on the mine.
It ended cold here, there was one drill hole into the wall...
