Thanks, What did you do, and can you get me up there?;) :cool: I bet you saw lots of BIG Deer and Elk. I've always wanted to climb up there... Maybe next spring.

That was along..... time ago.

We would see heards of elk that ranged in the hundreds. Deer all day long :) The best part was wheeling every day to get to work. :)

must be nice being 20 min from wheeling :D I drove down 201 to 5600west and thought about just going further west, but I couldn't.....

20... Try 2 :cool: Wheeling, Shooting, Bass fishing, mountain biking, hiking... I love it out here. Nice and quiet also. the only downside is the 30 min. drive to work.

Is that stansbury island you are talking about? If so there are a bunch of places I would love to check out there...If it is Stansbury Island, is the gate still up? cause you do know its gonna be coming down soon:D

No, it's the mountain east of Stansbury Park. (10 miles north of Tooele) What do you know abaout the gate on the Island comming down? I havent been out there in a looong time.

I gotcha...:D

the road along stansbury was reclaimed by the county as a county road. the blazzards (sp?) (owners of most the private land on Stansbury) somehow got a hold of the land without going through the county...the county caught wind of this and it was made such a big deal that the feds got involved in it too. In short the county got the road back and now blazzards can no longer restrict access to the road. You can legally go till you get to the dike, thats where MagCorp property starts...there is a gate there too. There are still some debates about some of the trails on the North side of the island because on most maps the trails are listed as public jeep trails so that is being fought about currently.
