Course if you were actually one of the first to do it, I'd say its OK for you to rename :D

We should resume talks about actually pulling this off in 2009. I know finding time was an issue for 2008, but I think with 8 months of prep we can pull it off!

I'd be up for this in '09 if you don't mind one more. I don't snore, and am fairly easy to get along with:greg:

Wow! Awesome stuff. I don't know if I'd be comfy in the Jeep for that long or not? Have to make the ZJ ready for that kind of stuff, I guess. :D

I saw that on ExPo awesome photos for sure!

I would love to do this maybe just before the Fall 2009 semester starts, We covered a lot of the are when we went to St. George this fall but we maybe did 1/4 on dirt? I know there were a lot more routes we could have taken, but we were solo and didn't want to push our luck. How long do you think this would take, ~10 days?

I don't know if you are going to be getting far enough west, but my dad has compiled a rather extensive collection of maps from the Fish Lake are south through the Parker Mtn Plateau and Boulder Mtn. If you think they'll help, let me know.

Also, if the rig is done by then (big if) I love the area down there and can grill up some mean burgers, tin foil dinners, and dutch oven vittles. Never trust a skinny cook, he never eats his own food.

WOW!!! Yes, we need to get this planned for next year. If that doesn't light a fire under my a$$ to get the Samurai back in proper running order, I don't know what will. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I'll be on the trail :p Gonna have to be a weeknight for me in the next month or so. I'd prefer a meeting when things slow down a bit next month.
Whenever, I'm free most nights. Good news is I just had a discussion with my wife about this and the Samurai rebuild (tentatively dubbed Project Nisei). She said, and I quote, "If you're going to do this, I want you to go all the way. None of this half assed sh!t." And this was after I laid out the pricing for the most ambitious aspects of the project. So needless to say, I'm stoked.

Nice, you just got approved for a ridiculously high credit limit! In Samurai terms, that's gotta be what.....$500? :p

Do we want to put a date down for a planning meeting? Location?

As I sorta suspected, a pal of mine has already done a similar run.... in fact his was more dirt miles. I've got some of his track logs and I bet I can bribe him for some other info before the meeting. Dude is literally the god of Utah's dirt roads, and some in South America too ;)
