My 24sp have been holding up good so far! Only failure point on mine was the ARP hub studs shearing! My lower chassis tube have also been getting beat up, I want to take a piece of tube, cut in half and half sleeve mine, but I don't have the tube yet, or a vertical band saw.

Clamp a piece of angle iron to it to use as a guide. Easy, straight cuts. Then a wire wheel to knock the dross down

Been wheeling it a lot. So much so, that getting some new shoes for it needed to happen before Penrose Saturday for our Full Moon run and before South Dakota. The old Krawlers were still good, but with 3-4 more runs before heading to the Hammers for TG week I was wanting some new shows.
Treps have been intriguing me for a while. So, I bought five of them off of Mustard Dog last week.:grinpimp:
Tire comparison is with a bald Krawler. Both are unmounted. The Trep is a good 2"+ taller. Likely 1.5 inch taller than a new 39" Red label Krawler.

I agree, but from everyone I talked to who has them, they love them. And, they all said they last a lot longer than Krawlers do and have much stronger sidewalls. So, I think the extra cost will even them out since I should get 4 seasons out of these. Where the Krawlers are pretty much a 2-3 season tire assuming you wheel them a lot.
I hated the fact that the Krawlers' would have bald shoulders at around 50-60% tread(just like mine did). And, I was less than thrilled with their wet traction and they flat out SUCK in the snow. They are just sponges in water.
The only concern I have is the weight of the tire and the 1.5" taller height. I worry about the axles holding up, but we'll see.

What PSI are you running them at? I'm at 10 sitting in the shop and they aren't buldging at all.
Agreed. When ours were new I would run 4-5 all day without issue. now if I'm under 6-7 we burp air regularly.
