Location
Sandy, Utah
We are headed up American Fork canyon for some night wheeling, Not sure what trail we will run might just do some exploring, Heard a rumor you can get in on a small road in Little Cottonwood canyon anyone know if that's true?, Anyone is welcome won't be anything to hardcore bringing my Zuk just lift and T-case and a Cheorkee with a small lift. Post or PM me and we'll arange a place to meet up.

There is small road from Provo Canyon near the base of the dam that will get you in to the south part of American Fork canyon. Its steep and narrow with lots of creek crossings.

There has been a road connecting the two canyons for 50 years or more, however it hasn't been driveable for the last 20 or more? When Snowbird installed their Mineral Basin lift they built a newer road further west than the old road which has become considerable narrow (passable by quads).

Have you had any interest in others wanting to join in?

Turns out I am gonna be out ot town for the U4 convention next weekend. I was looking forward to going on anyone of those runs but after reading the thread in the trail maps forum, this one sounds like it could be pretty cool.

If you have a meeting time and place in mind I like to show up and check out the canyon with ya'll. How late was ya expecting to be out there?

Thanks.

Hey, glad I was able to catch up to you guys. I've never been up that canyon before, it was pretty cool. Very scenic, and some good history behind it as well.

The rain didn't turn out to be to bad, was just a tad more than enough to keep the dust down and make the rocks a bit slippery. Hope your buddy is able to get his Cherokee fixed up. I had a good time with ya'll and maybe we can do it again sometime.

Thanks.

ok well i passed you guys when i was coming down so what happened to the cherokee? and curious that xj looked like my first one i had that i sold a few years ago, where did you get it at

Hey whats up guys thanks again for all the help getting down the trail. Well it turns out that hal way up when i smashed my front bumper i also smashed the vacum can in the bumper that controlls the shift fork on the ront diff. So all in all i could have locked the front diff by using a small rock but i guess i learned the hard way (btw the can costed a whoping 8 bucks from dlr). Also i bought my jeep from some guy that lives over on 3900 s and 500 w.

lol that might have been mine then i sold it to a guy up there a couple years ago. I know he lived off of 3900 somewhere. If it is that jeep has gone places you would never imagine. So ya got any pics of your trail adventure?
