AF Canyon??

Anyone been up any of the trails up AF? I tried to get up to Skyline from Mt Pleasant yesterday, but was denied right before the top

We made it all the way to Snow Bird two Saturdays ago. Everything else in the canyon should be open too.

I think he was just curious about the status of AF since Mt. Pleasant still had snow. Oh, by the way Ephraim Canyon is clear all the way to skyline. I was up on horseshoe this weekend.

Do you know if Skline Drive is clear south of Ephraim Canyon? Looking to head all the way down this weekend?

I'm curious on the north side of Ephraim too. We are going to run from Tucker to Goosberry Res. then to Mt Pleasant Canyon on the 4th of July, hope its all open!!

There are two spots you'd have to worry about. One is "the cut" which is just north of Ephraim, usually has snow until July, but this year it may be clear, and then just south of Ephraim near Snows lake could still have snow. I'll give my old man a call this evening and post back here later. I know the parts of skyline drive I was on had no snow on the road at all.

Sounds like a great trip Kurt. I love Ephraim canyon and skyline drive (hence my screen name) It is one of the most beautiful places in Utah in my opinion. Of course I may be biased since I grew up there and only left for career opportiunities. You ever want someone to show you around down there let me know, I am alway up for exploring.

Kurt, just an FYI, the Manti pageant is this weekend so there could be a lot of extra traffic and extra cops all long Hwy 89.

I called last week... they didn't seem to have much late/great info. However I did call again this morning and she said it is stil closed. She mentioned that the snow will stop you at the top of Manti Canyon, and there are several spots along Skyline that will be covered for another week or so
