yea it does look like the trail and it does need to be blocked off. I will help if we do it.

I'm in too. Let's get it taken care of. It does look more like the trial than the actual trail itself. Something needs to happen. If building a fence would fix it I would suggest that.

Ideas?

Thats because the trail is not what it once was, because people keep telling people to try it in underequipped rigs.

I don't see any harm in trying it. Like I said, IMO, the first obstacle is the hardest. If he can make it up that, then he should be able to do the rest of the trail unassisted ('cept for the waterfall, of course). If he needs a strap or stacked rocks, then he should turn around, like I said. People trying the trail doesn't make the trail weaker, it's the people who try then stack or make bypasses that weaken the trail. That's why I suggested he should turn around if he needs assistance.

YES, it does. because these are the very people that stack rocks.

you have all these people say "go ahead try" and then they just keep dragging this ill-equipped vehicle through it.

That trail was not established as a "go ahead and try" trail it was established to be a 5 rated trail.

And now it is nothing more then a 3+ at most because of the "go ahead and try trail" mentality. there are plenty of go ahead and try trails in this state, constrictor was never established to be that kinda trail. Yet nonetheless that is exactly what it has be come.

Its a two locker trail. With body protection and smaller tires but with two lockers there is no problem. I actually get sick and tired of being hung up on the trail by people with 35" tires (or even bigger) and only one locker, for some reason that trail actually is easier with a locked front than a locked rear.

I get a large grin on my face when I read these posts. Constrictor will kick yer culo if you aren't built tall and tough. :)

I have a hard time believing that a stock anything could make it through Con UNLESS you drive around the obstacles. I'd love to watch someone do it and prove me wrong though. :D

Rattlesnake is one where you can basically drive around any obstacle there is but why would you do that?

I do not see why a completely stock Rubicon or a Toy trd could not drive everything on Con except for the Eagles nest. Carefull driving and a locker should be enough.

A stock TRD Tacoma? No way... I have one & I know it's limits. Wheel travel & ground clearance would totally limit a stocker.

OK I have never driven a Toy truck. I know I could drive a ruby through the trail without hurting it and I have seen several threads where Toyota fans say a TRD is more capable.

The TRD definitely can hang with the Ruby, but the Ruby would handle Constrictor a lot better due to wheelbase, a Taco is long...

Sorry, but with a 5 speed, 3.07's, a suspension so shot that it couldn't even hold up a Metro, it did take some convincing. Not much, but enough to make it worth mentioning.

With an auto tranny, I agree, I don't think it would have taken much, if any, convincing.

I think the point is that stock rigs should not be advised NOT to wheel Constrictor. It is beyond the capability of most stock rigs and many drivers. Can some people make it through in a stock rig? Probably, but rigs that are not properly set up for the difficulty of the trail often cause unnecessary congestion, drivers stack rocks and do not remove them when they are past the obstacle, or else they try to bypass the difficult sections where possible. The trail was never intended for stock vehicles. I personally don't feel like we should encourage people with under-equipped rigs to attempt Constrictor. Rattlesnake is a great trail that is better suited to stock or unlocked vehicles.
