Where do the wires from the plug on the back of the alternator go??? I know the power wire goes to the battery or starter but what about the two wires that come out of the plug??? I have tried looking through the wiring schematics in the back of the Haynes manual but I couldn't see anything about the alternator???

Thanks

What color are the wires on the plug? I am guessing you have a red wire that is larger than the other which I am guessing is probably brown or white? The red wire can just be conected to the main alternator output and the brown wire needs to be conected to Ignition power to energize the alternator.

yes you are correct on the colors...so the redish one connects to the same one that runs to the battery or starter and the whitish brownish one connect to the igition so it has power in both start and run or only start???

Thanks you VERY much...

Yes just run the red wire to the hot terminal on the back of the alternator and the brown one needs juice in run.
