Alternator

My alternator squeeks really bad when put under a load like if i turn on my AC it squeels like a stuck pig you shut of ac and it stops it wont do it at higher speeds? why would it do this and any way to make it so it wont do it

Yeah, is the belt loose? That's what it sounds like to me.... Turning the AC on should have no effect on the alternator, but it does use the same belt....

Try some of that belt dressing stuff from Autozone, that helped my girlfriends Mazdas belt from squeeling.

a wax candle will work just as well start the motor up and contact the candle to the top and bottom of the belt - I know it sounds strange, but it works. Or buy another belt, could also be the tensioner spring could be getting loose.
