It was a most beautiful weekend in Moab! Considering the fact that we drove through 4 hours of snow and then an hour of rain to get into Moab Thursday night, I was thrilled with how amazing the weather was for the end of November.
Our adventure began Friday morning with a jaunt up Rusty Nail accompanied by The Carl's, The Chadrick's, Cody and friends. Upon reaching the start of Rusty Nail, we were greeted by a mammoth line of vehicles and quite a bit of carnage. We saw a Dana 60 grenade their ring and pinion and various other vehicles in a state of disarray. Thankfully, we all escaped unscathed even though the traction was non exsistent thanks to the euwwey, gooey mud.
It was a pleasantly uneventful day with the only carnage being Cody's small steering issue which the Moab Outpost took care of that evening.
Saturday morning dawned sunny and warm so off we went to the ever delicious Area BFE. It was still pretty muddy out there, but once we got onto LockJaw, everyone did just fine.
