Wow, that would be a tough catch if you hadn't started it on the stand. Hope I don't run into anything like that. Yes, there is plenty to do while I'm waiting on the header.

Weekend update

Finally finished the seat mounts and got the main part of the chassis painted. Also finish mounted the brake and gas pedals and mounted the remote res for the brakes. Put fluid in the t-case and tranny and need a brass plug for my oil pan before I fill the motor oil.

The chassis is 95% painted now, with just a bit left on the front and back. Started to plumb the brakes and get drivelines built. I'm still waiting on my d@#$ header from Sanderson's but should be able to try and fire it when I get it.

It looks like you could hop right in and go right now, your very close. What is the plan for floors? Did you say you were using hammerrite paint? I am impressed with how good your paint job looks for a built up paint job. You really should be proud Bart, it looks great!

Thanksgiving is getting close

I know, and I'm out of town from the 15th to the 19th, so it's cutting it close.

The floor will be aluminum, but as you can see from the pics, may not be in before Thanksgiving. I'll weld in some temporary stuff if I have to. I may not have a dash, gauges or skins either, but that stuff can come later.

Yeah gauges are way over rated. Just look for visual clues like a fire lol;)

I kinda have to agree here with the two previous posters(insert the usual rude comments HERE). You have a lot invested in this. I would hate to see serious damage that could be prevented. At least get a oil pressure guage working and tape it to the top of the hood or something.....
Don't forget to put some foam tape on top of the bars the floor will sit on to help quiet the noise the aluminum WILL make vibrating. It really quiets it down on mine, plus it makes the floor feel more "cushiony" :)

Thought I would make more progress over the weekend but did finish most of the brakes. I actually finished all of them but need 2 pieces from the caliper banjo to the hard lines in the front. I'll get them built at EVCO today.

I'm having problems bleeding my Wilwood master cylinder. I'm following the directions on the web sight, but not getting very far, and definitely can't start bleeding the lines yet. I have 2 single bore cylinders. Anybody have any experience with these?

Also including a pic of the new SAW bumps and the 3 packages I got from Tom Woods on Friday.
