Very cool!!!

Feb 21st, huh... You doing any wheelin' while down there? I will be in Vegas from like 12-17th...... I was just going to come home, but... :D

The race isn't until Friday the 27th with some event's scheduled the day before. So I plan to wheel all week long. C'mon down. Johnson Valley is not a bad trip from Vegas. Will you have your new motor by then?

I'll have to go back up to SL to pick up my son if I come back down... No, I won't have the motor in - or at least I don't think so. I don't intend on starting the swap until April? We've had too much damn snow up here that I need the Jeep just to get around. Seriously, highest snowfall this month on record - ever. And yeah, we're in the middle of it :-\ But I'm sure the wife will be fine with it if I'm not down for the St George deal... Maybe I'll pass on that so I can come down for the Hammers..... So you are going to be running trails for 6 days before?

First question, how old is your son? JV can be a pretty brutal place, especially in the winter and if there is wind? Second question, will you be staying in your tent trailer or at a hotel in Yucca Valley, about 30 minutes away. If he's a camper he should do okay? Tent trailers are not great protection if the wind comes up.

I plan to run trails and help guys with their rigs from Sunday through Wednesday. Both Saturdays will prolly be travel days. I want to run as many trails as many times as I can. I love it down there. Should be quite a group there. Talked to Dean Bullock yesterday and they are heading down that Saturday and I think Clay, Jinx and crew are also going down that day. Going to be a party.

Austin is 3, going on 14.
If I can get it out after all of this snow, then the trailer.

That poor kid has more miles on his butt than a lot of people I know... We camped for 3? weeks in Moab during EJS out across the highway from BFE. We went through 5 gallons of propane in a night and half. Since I dind't bring a spare, several nights went without heat. One night we ran out of propane at 11pm. Most nights were below 30* and some into the teens. When it's that cold, he sleeps with me. The beds in the trailer are also heated. I just jumper my Jeep to the trailer to keep it charged and to have enough battery through the night.

Also, when I go out with the guys up here, we camp places, have fires, drink and tell lies into the night. During the day Austin is out running around playing with his dump truck, riding his bike, etc. and then at night, I put him in bed around 7-8.

We can try it, if it doesn't work out then I won't be around much. Because he comes before wheelin', etc.

What do you think?

He sounds pretty durable and sturdy, in fact he's prolly a better camper than me. Sounds like a good plan, just see how he does. Wow, that's a lot of propane.

Tell me about it... Every other day I was trading bottles at the store... Had I know, I would have brought a spare, but then it would probably be every other day still, but then 2 bottles.

As far as weather goes, I think he'll be fine. It's the other stuff I'm more worried about.

Getting ready for the Hammers and wanting to do some finish work I tackled a few areas this weekend. I built floors (yes 5 pieces) and looking at what I'm going to do for the firewall. Also added a couple bars in the roof.

UVU trades did the side panels. They're going to paint them up pretty to use as a promotional rig, along with the hood, grill and other body stuff. Before they can shoot color I need to finish my tail gate. Here are a couple of shots.

UVU Auto Trades did the panels and dash and will use the buggy as a recruiting tool. It's not hugger orange. It's actually more copper than I thought it would be. He said it's mostly pearl without much orange at all. It looks kewl in the sun.

I got the opportunity to wheel with Bart a little bit during EJS.

Ive got to say his buggy is VERY impressive. Everything is very nice and the paint is awesome.

He just walks every obstacle he points it at. He is a great spotter as well.

It was great to finally meet you Bart! We will have to wheel together again
