How about I borrow yours instead ;)

j/k I have to save mine for nursing school. You wouldn't want a nurse with a crippled hand putting in your IV, would you? ;)

Welcome to RME. The whole spelling and grammer thing is refreshing. :) Don't worry too much about building that TJ. Go drive it on a bunch of trails and by the time you can drive better than it can wheel, you'll know what you need to do to make it better. I've got a daily driver TJ with 4ish inches of lift and 33s, and it seems stable enough. I haven't rolled it yet, and that's something of an accomplishment for me... :-\ Watch the for sale section, and you'll occasionally run across some great deals on parts that'll work for you.

I've got a 600 or 700ish watt amp you can can have, my buddy blew it cuz he didn't use big enough gauge wire, don't know how to fix it or what it would cost but it's yours if you want it ;)

Thanks for the tips! I guess I'm just trying to keep up with the uncles... they both have some pretty nice stuff, and one of them is rebuilding a scrambler that is completely custom! It's sooo not fair! :( :(

I've done a few trails with my uncles and my dad riding shotgun so far, but now I'm looking for something to do on my own that isn't too far of a drive. Any recommendations?

An amp, huh? I'd have to check with the little brother/booger to see what he could do. I'm not very good with electronics either, but I'll let you know! Thanks for the offer!
Gosh... I'm starting to sound like I don't know anything! I have so much to learn! Anyone want to make a trade? Lessons in jeep stuff for sewing or cooking lessons? ;)

Go play out at Little Moab, 45 mins from Sandy, and you can make it as easy or as hard as you want, lemme know I need to make a trip out there soon anyways

How soon is soon? And, am I gonna do any damage to my jeep out there? I have a couple of guys that want to come along for a ride, but I don't want to look too much like a dumb girl... that would be sad!

Yup, hook up with a group from here on just about any weekend, and go do Rattlesnake. Should be just enough of a challenge for you, without much risk of damage. It's nearby, maybe 15-20 minutes west of Lehi, and it should be super easy to find a group going out there. Check out the upcoming trips forum, and maybe start a thread there to see if anyone is going to go soon.

Pretty much whenever, just gotta throw a few things together on the Yota, shouldn't take more than a coupla nights work, it's close enough to go in a afternoon too, but like Rockmonkey said check out the trip reports or start a thread, you'll get some people to come, it's always nice to go wheelin' with ppl from RME.

Shouldn't do any damage if you don't want, like I said, it can be as easy or as hard as you wanna make it, my buddy used to take his stock YJ out there all the time.

What I want to know is where you all learned how to do all this stuff? I am so jealous! I wish I could make cool stuff for my jeep all by myself!
I guess sewing it a skid plate wouldn't really work... :p

Self Taught personaly, owned too many POS vehicles growing up that if I couldnt figure it out how to fix it, I couldnt get to school/work.

I know a couple of people on here (KENNETH) learned by yellow pages!

I picked up on the basics from my older brother and then I just started looking and researching other (like) Jeeps. If I saw something I wanted to try I would try it out. My Jeep is still in the development stages also, I think it is plenty capable but there is more I am willing to do to it... :D Check it out in my Cardomain link in my Sig if you are interested. :)

Hehe, preferably a snowy one at night.

If you want to do anything like this my roomate's got a lift in his garage. The kind you lift your car up on to work on it. We could swap those in in twenty minutes.

Hang around here and you'll learn a lot. Most of us have jeeps so we have no choice but to learn how to fix them.
