Looks real good Nick, congrats on getting it out to the trail!

I know you said you had some suspension tweaks to work thru still, but have you been able to form an option of those FJ80 radius arms yet? I'm curious to see how that setup works on a trail buggy like you have.

The radius arms work great! I pulled the front bolt on the driver side arm, to let it " wrist" I know I know... Its kind of ghetto, but it was cheap and easy and It works for me, it feels very stable on off camber, and higher speed runs. Also does not seem to bind when twisted up. I'll get some flex shots for you tomorrow.

I was wondering if you'd do a wristed arm on one side. I'd really be interested to see how it handles with all bolts in, probably not so great for flex! Have you thought about flipping the control arms, so they go over the top of the axle, rather than the bottom?

Thanks for the info, sounds like a decent option with stock Cruiser parts.

Greg, I thought about moving the arms to the top, but it only gains you a little ground clearance , and the way the arms are shaped it would put the arm curving downwards as opposed to it in stock form curving up. I tried the arms with 4 bolts and it dramatically affected the front suspension. It handles so well right now I am going to cut the remainder of the one arm off, as well as the bracket. We can call it a poor mans 3 link :D

Greg, I shot these while we were out today to give you a look at this setup at flex. If you look close you can tell the mount is twisted on the front were it "wrists" but Nick plans on cutting that piece off anyway, We are talking about cutting those off and making some beefier versions.
This buggy does really good, it is taking down some pretty big stuff easily. I will shoot some more stuff tomorrow, my SD card was full or I would have shot some video of it today.

Steve, it really is not a fair comparison between the two tires. My krawlers where a normal compound and these iroks are rediculously sticky. I really really like them, and they are not even broke in yet

nice build man i am throwing the same set under my zuk but i am having issues with the front and i cut all the brackets luckily i have another set so now that i saw ur set up im just gonna dump them under my sami it will be done alot faster:rofl:

how is ur rear axle holding up being a semi float? i have those too hard to come across a full float here. how was ur front radius arm after that incident where the bolt came off?

how does it flex in the rear? can we get some pics of it? sorry for the questions just got excited:D
