We just got our set top box so that we can look at the digital channels on one of our old analog sets and when I saw that it had video and audio output as well as an RF output the nerdy engineer in me had an idea. My new Sony LCD HDTV like many other new sets allows two pictures to be displayed at once but they don't allow true PIP with two TV channels. You can have TV in one and video in the other. The video can come from a DVD, VCR, computer or other video source. What I found was that I could use the video output from the set top box to drive the second video source giving me two TV channels at once. So if your new HDTV doesn't have PIP with two TV tuners you can get there using a set top box .
