I am kicking around some ideas for a front axle made mostly from parts I have collected over the years. I noticed that Scout front Dana 44's use the same hub lockouts as the early CJ's did. My questions are 1) does the Scout fronts use the larger series u-joints (U-297 IIRC) 2) Will the Scout outer shaft fit the CJ Hub/spindles etc...???

Anybody know?

Usually would be more correct on the first count. I have seen 260X joints in scout D44s. Owned one as a matter of fact. Most however have 297x joints

hmm..cool...just never seen one. thanks for the correction :D
