Anyone been to or familiar with Madagascar or Lesotho?

I can point both of them out on a map off the top of my head. Does that help? Although I may get Lesotho mixed up with Swaziland.

Not really. Lesotho is right in the middle of South Africa.

We're doing research on our next adoption. Both of those countries have adoption programs and both are part of the hague convention. We'd go back to Ethiopia again, but their program is in shambles right now and they're not part of the hague convention.

Madagascar used to be a French colony. One of the few places that British and Vichy loyal French forces fought in the Second World War.

Interesting! Good luck on the adoption. I did some interesting reading (to me at least) recently about the formation of what became Lesotho and the Basuto people under King Moshoeshoe in the early 1800s and their rapid utilization of horses, which was uncommon for the African tribes. Area is still fairly underdeveloped with poor roads and still very horse dependent for transportation in much of the country- thus my interest in visiting.
