Anyone built an AK/MAK from a receiver flat?

Have any of you built an AK or MAK from a receiver flat and a parts kit? Fun or just a bunch of time? Parts kits are readily available and flats and assembly parts and tools are too. Thoughts?

I'm in the same boat as Bryson. I've looked into it, but never pulled the trigger.

I've never done it, but I love the one on youtube made from a garden shovel that uses the shovel handle as a stock!

Last time I looked at it the parts were more than just buying one. Maybe parts kits have dropped and full AK's have gone up so it's worth it to build now.

But why spend $20 buying something when I can build it myself for $40
