Anyone here refinish wood floors?

I am looking for someone with some experience with hardwood floor refinishing. One of our bedrooms needs some work within the next two weeks.

Any suggestions?

Can't really help ya on a source, but I did my own and it really isn't that hard. I rented the sanders, then just went for it.

It was a learning experience for me....

Everybody had me scared to do the drum sander so I started out with the 4 pad sander/grinder/polisher from Home Depot. I spent about 3 hrs and did 20sq feet or so and said screw it. I ended up getting the drum sander and it was good. I let my dad use it while I did the edges up stairs. I came back to find him running all over the place with it. I looked at the floor and couldnt see any problems. When I finally stained it I could see all the drum marks where he went back and forth. I got to redo it.

Moral of the story....

Rent the drum sander and the edger (edger is a must!). Take your time and do smooth strokes being careful to not let the drum sit in one spot for even a second. Its not bad, just time consuming. I did about 700 sq feet in two days.
