I live in layton and i know of skyline but i was wondering if anyone knows of some other scenic trails around this area and up?
There is always the trail between Farmington and Bountiful for a nice little ride that is really close to you.
thats called skyline, as he already mentioned
Providence, Millville, and that whole system East of Cache Valley is great. Also any dirt road in the west desert like the Transcontinetal RR, the Pony Express Trail. Or American Fork Canyon, the Uintas, Ashley National Forest....
Pretty much any dirt road.
My all time favorite Northern Utah trail is the Bloomington lake/Paris Ice Caves route http://rockymountainextreme.com/showthread.php?t=67404 . There are several options for access and all are very scenic. These trails cross over into Southern Idaho.

Ive been on this on snowmobile but never in the summer. Might have to hop in the Jeep and go for a ride one of these days

Northern Utah has a HUGE trail network. Do you have a general area that you would like to explore? I could give you directions for anything north of Odgen for the most part.

It a very popular snowmobile ride but much more scenic in the spring and fall. Well worth the trip expecially once the leaves start to turn
