I'll be ordering dom end of february/beginning of march for my buggy, the more i order the cheaper it gets. I AM NOT MAKING MONEY FROM THIS, ONLY SAVING MONEY. i already have several people committed to buying some, so the price should already be down.(also several people on here have ordered through me before(and know where i live)and can verify im not going to take your money and run. i will be calling tomorrow to get a price on the orders i already have. this will give me a solid price for what we are currently at, hopefully the price will go down from there. if i have sent you a pm today(feb 16) ive calculated your order. if not please resend me a pm with your order.

so far im ordering

1.5x.120 wall expect to pay $2-3 per foot
1.75x.120 wall expect to pay $3-4 per foot
1.25x.281 wall expect to pay $8-? per foot

those prices are most likely high, i haven't called yet, however i did hear steel prices recently went up

i will order whatever you pay for but it must be 20 ft minimum and if you order some crazy size that no one else orders, expect to not get to much of a discount.

the way it will work: first off a mountain yoats friend owns a railing company that orders a ton of metal through a local supplier, so that gives us a small discount right off the bat. tomorrow i will call and get exact numbers for what i have. then i will post up those numbers. as orders come in i will try and get more accurate numbers then about 3-5 days in advance of ordering i will ask for your money. if i dont get your money you dont get your tube. i will bring the tube to the old kmart parking lot on foothill after pick up and you can come get it at a scheduled time.

Just a heads up. Three weeks ago I paid $3.65ish a foot for 1.75 dom. I bought five sticks. My last order of five sticks was $3.20 a foot. Today I bought one stick and it cost me $6.70 a foot! But that was because of being just one stick.

i was unable to call today and get a price but with the few more orders from this evening, ill be able to get a more accurate order tomorrow, my appologies. i am a bit worried about the recent metal price increase but so far i have about 25 sticks total in my order and im hoping to double that by the time i place my order. paying $6-7per ft is high, however ive heard of people paying simular prices in the past for a single stick. tomorrow we shall find out i guess

Also keep in mind, Marmon Keystone (if that's where you're getting it from) doesn't give cheaper prices for the whole order. Say if you buy 25 sticks of 1.75 and one stick of 1.5, the 25 sticks will be cheap, but the single will still be high.

Right, that's why I said in my first post that If you order a size that no one else orders expect not to get much of a discount. We will be ordering from marmon keystone through a metal company of my friends this will give us a small discount due to the amount of steel they order on a regular basis

I'm not home so I don't have exact numbers but its something close to:
11 sticks of 1.5x.120
13 sticks of 1.75x.120
1 stick of 1.25x.281
1 stick of 1x.120

This might give people a better idea

And I've been told there's a possibility of a friend ordering steel for a 4 seater, but it isn't confirmed

Ok I just called an the current price is as fallows:

1.75x.120=3.35 per ft
1.5x.120=3.00 per ft
1x.120=2.90 per ft
1.25x.281=7.60 per ft

How long is a stick? 8 feet? 10 feet? I need like 4 or 5 feet of some 1.25"x.120.

Most of the time it's 18 feet. I've never seen it less then that.

Metal Supermarket has it as well in SLC. You can buy it by the foot there. In fact I saw some remnants there today while I was in there, in the 1.25 size, but they were more like 2-3 feet. Either way you will pay more per foot there, but you will save money by not having to buy a whole stick.

Haha tacoma, you'll want 1.75x .120. You dont want that boat to be any heavier than it has to be! Oh and btw mcnees is a great place ive bought tons of race equipment from them. I would recommend them for small amounts as well as some of the local shops, low range, ben hanks, Teraflex..

Talked to Ben, he recommended 1.75 x .156... I know .120 gets it's ass kicked on K5's.

Oh! This is for sliders right? I thought you were thinkingthe whole cage! That makes sense, if it were me I'd go 1.5x.120 sleeved in 1.75x.120 that's what I usually do sliders with
