Finally getting around to doing this trail report.

The good old Helldorado. I always have a great time running this trail. Still one of my favorites. Sometimes it's washed out really deep in areas and sometimes it's filled in, but regardless it's one of those dynamic trails that changes every so often which is part of fun.

The front of the gatekeeper was really washed out today, so we opted to drop in from the upper left. Last time I was out here in May, even the upper drop in had been washed out and had about 3' of water in it. THAT was interesting. :D This time it was filled in a bit so it was smooth going.

Onto the narrow squeeze. I'm not sure on the official name for this section.

Now onto break-over. I think jpest was the only flawless run through this one. He just slid right over it. I normally get hi-centered on this obstacle, but since my rig was about 4" lower this trip, I really paid for it.

A little "rocking" & nudging from Kiel & Justin got me over. :D

Finally over! that took a while... freaking lowrider.

Kiel's turn!

Kiel got hi centered just like I did, but he's a longer so it was a little worse. Luckily a few rocks so he could launch over more and some nudging from Justin and I, he was able to rock over it.

Didn't get any photos after he got over it but it's in the video.

Seth gives it a whirl:

At least he got hi-centered on the back-side of the rock. :D

And finally, the famous Waterfall. The more attempts I give this obstacle the better it feels. 3 out of 4 in our group climbed it today, I was the odd man out. But I'm ready for next time now!

The waterfall:

I probably spent about 20 min giving it a try... kept coming up too short. After watching video footage, I think a little more throttle (and some balls) I could have it.

So today I winch. :)

Seth tries to crawl it, but ultimately throttles up nicely

Does jpest have a build up on that rig. I saw it in crawl mag a while back have always liked it, how do the link setups work??

No build on it. I brought it here from back east. Its a Badland's machine shop custom 4-seat chassis. The aluminun links with Johnny joints on both ends work great. Its 4-link front and rear. I am really happy with it.
