When I saw it, he said it used a Hydro Pump from a snowplow & a Hydro Ram from NPS. I'm sure there's more details than that, so I'll let him fill them in. ;)

here that Shawn? didn't I say snowplow?
I want Hydro, and I want it for under 200 bucks.

I just talked to my Bro-in-law and he thinks he has two pumps with motors in his shed. :)

Hey, I don't have time for details right now. I just noticed this post. i've been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest. I need to post the pics of the signs and while I'm at it I will throw some in on the bender. The pump is a 12 volt job and will work great with a battery and charger, but I also found a tranformer at NPS that converts 120 to 12 volt and then added a rectifier (I had help with this) to make it DC.

We need the material for the sign posts also if any one has some ???2" or bigger square tubing laying around???

Shawn- I have another ram you can try. I paid $23 bucks for it and you can have it for the same. It's a big industrial type, and if it doesn't work I'll take it back.

Hos long do you need the Square Tube to be? I think I have a piece, but I doubt it's more than 3'.

I guess it depends on how tall we want the sign to be. I figure we need at least 3 ft in the ground??

Here are a few pics tahat I found of my setup.

Here is the motor and reservoir assembly. It began life as part of a 'liftgate' on a delivery truck.

I used a scrap I-beam to mount the ram because I figured it would not flex- and it doesn't. Here is a side shot. The hoses are old ones that were with the motor and pump, so I coiled up the excess. I am into this hydro less than $100 total.

Here's the other side. You can see it is on wheels so I can put it in the corner when I'm not using it. The wheels also make it so you can do longer pieces without running into your garage walls.
