My phone 'boots' up and shows "GPS failure. Call service provider." How do I get rid of the message?

That's been super pleasant and very time efficient. From Verizon's perspective, it's not an issue. It's an issue to me. I just want the message off my screen. It just adds to an already ULTRA annoying phone.
