wondering if anyone is running or has run the aussie lockers? I'm thinking about throwing one in the rear of a 3rd gen four runner. Just wondering how they hold up, work, etc. let me know thanks.

I have one in one of my wranglers. It works fine, it is noisier than what they want you to believe when turning corners. I have been running it for three years with no issues. Come drive it if you want.

The Aussie in the rear of my FJ40 has held up great. After having it for a while i made minor adjustments to the way i drive on the road and i forget it's even there. It performs great offroad, too.

Here's a good link that explains how this type of locker works:

I'm a huge fan. I had one in my stock shortbed 82 toyota and it popped and hopped around corners a little bit, but in my rear-heavy FJ55, I honestly cannot even tell its there. The only time I can tell is if I'm doing a slow coasting turn with the window down I can hear a light clicking. It should do awesome in your 4 runner. They are well made, reliable, and simple to install

I have had one in the front of my 4runner for 5 years. Works great, never skips a beat. I need to replace the lockrite in the rear and I will be replacing it with an Aussie.

Can't go wrong for the money. I started on 37's and now run 36's. No real issues in the snow.
