Well do to a recent exploration I snapped my motor mounts like twigs (little 4 popper never seizes to amaze me :greg:) so when I started exploring the local stores, turns out the block brackets are a dealer part. well went to a dealer, turns out just one mount was $167.17 for the passenger side, and $145.25 for the driver side, plus frame brackets are $34 a side. to hell with that!!

After cruisen the local junkyards a guy suggested this site to me and now I have a whole kit ordered!

www.browndogindustries.com

All there stuff converts the stock stuff to a minimum of 1/4" plate steel and grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers!! I bought the whole kit for $239.95 with free shipping versuses $368 or so plus shipping would be outrageous!

Sooo sense I was able to break one of these with a 4cylinder I thought this would be a nice upgrade for all yall 6 + cylinders!

Well my main problem was I run a 2.5Litre and I couldn't find any block brackets at the junkyard and mine is smashed in half so I don't want to weld it. new ones are the only way to go and M.O.R.E. didn't make any and midstate couldn't find any after market ones

I would not put grade 8's into the block itself. If you ever break another bolt you will not be able to easy out the broken bolt.

Weld a nut on the broken bolt, that's a much easier solution than an easy-out. I've had good luck with that procedure, used it a handful of times.

I run the one inch raised M.O.R.E. bombproof mounts on my YJ 2.5 and hate them.

Why? I'm just curious as to the reason... I have a set of M.O.R.E. bushings and sleeves that they make the motor mounts out of for my ratrod project.

Mostly I don't like mine because of the engine vibrations that seem to resonate throughout the whole Jeep, mirrors vibrate so bad I can't see out of them, steering wheel vibrates and various other loose Jeep parts. :D

Other then that they are stout and have been on my jeep for like 6 years, If I get around to doing an engine swap I will probably use something else.

The dealer is certainly proud of those! Checker and Autozone have OEM ones for around $20. I don't know how good they are. I was thinking about getting those. I don't really like having all the vibration either, so I've not been wanting to get the MORE ones. What's wrong with the OEM mounts? Are they just too weak?

yeah the mounts them selvesa are a weak rubber and wear really quick, I ripped one in half after 8 months. and I tryed the poly's, hard as rocks but send vibes bad, but Its fixed by putting like a thick piece of leather between the mount and frame. thats what I did. and the motor brackets (the silver cast aluminum ones on the block itself) just don't hold up to much stress apperently.

Welp, got my motor brackets in! need to install my motor back in now but its been way to dang hot! so instead I took my new pair of 3/4 axles to be cleaned up and painted!! the black is POR-15, a rust reducing/ stopper and hard as nails. then I got bored and painted the diff and bolts lol now I'm just trying to find parts for my front 44. needs new cage straps, yoke, spring perches, u-bolts, and steering parts.
