Axle width?

How far will my tires stick out if I run a full width ford Dana 60 kingpin front and a chevy 14 bolt rear with the h2 wheels ? Those are the wheels that everyone uses to bring the tire in right or are they h1's?

h2 wheels are around 5.5" backspacing which could bring your outer track-width around 80". That's about 2" wider (1" each side) than the average 62" WMS axle and 3.5" backspacing wheels. Not bad at all.

I just picked up some H2 wheels for this reason as well.

If you want it to be even narrower, I have a set of dodge 17" wheels that I might need to unload. They are 6.25" backspacing. But when you get into that kind of bs, your front hubs might stick out a little bit more than you want.

Also - check out mBryson's rig. He's running H2's with 40's (or 42's??) on his YJ. Looks GOOD.

My H2s with 40" Kevlars are right on 82". Conveniently my trailer is 83". H1s are narrower. With 38" SX x 12.50 I was right at 77"-77.5". I put some 38x14.50 SX on with the same wheels and was about 79". With the Dodge wheels mentioned above (mine were 16" but I'd imagine similar offset) and 37" Creepy crawlers I was 78" wide in the front.

I've got a Chev 60 and run Summit Machine drive slugs. They've been hit a LOT with the H1s, some with the Dodge wheels and not so much with the H2s. I think you could get away with Warn lockouts with the H2 wheels but they'd get hit a bit. The Dynatrac lockouts would be kewl, but are a little cost prohibitive
