Backwards Bill trail (Moab)

Anyone have any information about the Backwards Bill trail? I just started hearing about it recently and not finding any maps or GPX files on it. I understand it's part Seven mile rim and part Wipe-out hill but that's about all I know.

Any input would be appreciated.

Do the last part of the Wipeout Hill Trail backwards from the normal direction (so you are ascending Wipeout Hill). Then at the top of Wipeout Hill, turn right and do the first half of Sevenmile Rim backwards from the normal direction.

I haven't tried it like that as a single trip, but I've done both segments seperately. Seems like a fun way to hit up the best parts of both trails in a shorter timeframe than doing either trail it their entirety.

I think I got lost and wound up doing the wrong side of Seven Mile rim, Still had a blast with lots of sand and Scenery. Wound up by Tusher Tunnel (never been there before) it was amazing.

Being "lost" in the Moab area or anywhere in southern Utah is not being lost. It's simply discovering a new treat around a new bend of the road.

:greg: It's good getting lost in Moab.

I did find Wipe-out hill though. :hickey:

Actually Wipe-out hill is to the left of that. :D
If you are heading up the way you went and turn left before the start of the climb in the bottom of the picture then you will go up a slope to a ledge. Called Wipe-out hill because when you drive off it the ledge is higher on the right and it wipes out rocker panels.

So same area just to the left side as you are going up?

Yep, they start the same but it forks. When you get to the top of the climb in the pic there is a sign off to the left that says Wipe-out hill with an arrow and it is about 50 feet over. Haven't been there in awhile so maybe the sign is gone now.

By far the most commonly used route is the right hand fork or east fork. The left fork or west route is considerably tougher with that large ledge. I've only watched a few go up and down the left fork. I have not tried it as I am not lifted enough and probably just would do damage to my low rider Disco. The right fork is lots of fun though especially for us smaller rigs to go up or down it.
