I am going crazy - 3 weekends without a report. Great day trips, but no nights. I need to work one in!

8 nights June 6-14 Moab, Utah.
5 nights June 16-21 Havasupai, Arizona

It was my first time and it was fantastic. I hope I can get a trip report and a gear list posted up.

Seriously, you need to go. It was one of the most amazing places I have ever been. We are already planning to go back next year

June 3-6: Hanksville / Hole in the Rock--3 nights (trip cut short by a day) with my son and dad
June13: Crystal Lake--1 night with my 2 youngest kids

One more night added, backpacking with my 11 year old. Dehydrated ice cream sandwiches are awesome! We were near Montpelier, ID.

Hiked up to the source of the spring. Super cool, cold, clean water.

Danggit!! I'm late to the game...I have some catching up to do!
You guys spend way more time out there than I do...although
I am hoping for more nights away from home very soon!

Here's my year so far...
1 night - Mar 28th @ Simpson Springs/Death Canyon road, with ExpUt folks (West Desert Wanderings) in my 26 year old North Face tent.

1 night - Mar 29th @ Granite Canyon, with ExpUt folks (West Desert Wanderings) in my tent.

1 night - May 16th @ PET/Indian Spring Rd, solo camp - First trip with my new trailer.

1 night - May 30th @ Avon Pass, solo camp with my trailer.


TOTAL NIGHTS: 4 :guilty:

normally i might stand a chance at this...... but i think im only at like 12 this year.... I work 8 on 6 off and usually spend those 6 off hunting, scouting or testing equipment. Backcountry archery hunting is top of my list for things i love but this year has not been as open for me. Last year around this time i was spending 4 of my 6 days in the mountains. Ive barely been up since idaho bear hunting this spring........
