Ballistic Fab any better now?

I noticed Ballistic Fabrications is now touting "laser cut" brackets that are bent on a CNC press brake.

Some of you have not had good experiences with Ballistic, but it looked like it was due to crappy plasma cutting. Do you think their new laser cut stuff will be any better, or should I still steer clear of them?

They make a couple brackets that would work well for what I have in mind, ones that BTF and Polyperformance don't have. I'm not too bad with the cutting torch and grinder (no plasma here), but sometimes pre-cut brackets are so much easier as faster.

Anyone tried the new stuff?

I just ordered their frame plates for SAS a tacoma. They shipped them out very fast and the cuts are perfect. The only gripe I have is the metal has some surface rust on it which doesn't matter but I would have liked them clean.

I wouldn't use them for anything, when we've got Summit Machine RIGHT HERE. :D

Ballistic has forever lost me as a possible customer due to the wholesale plagiarism of Summit's AD COPY, not to mention ripping off a good chunk of the products they sell.

anyway. Keep it local. :D Summit supports U4WDA, Blue Ribbon Coalition, and United (I think). :D :D

What brackets did you have in mind? If needed, we can always do parts that we don't currently stock. At the same time, we like to know what people need and are interested in as we keep our eyes out for items we ought to stock.

Thanks, Nate
