So I picked up 2 HP 30's and both look bent to me, does anyone locally have the tools to check if either one is bent? If not, I am going to build them...

I dont have the neccesary setup for a dana 30 I do have the bore bar and pucks for 44s and 60s though. I have just ran a laser level line across the housing and it gives you a pretty good idea

I have the material to make pucks and a 1" precision ground bar that is 4' long, now to get someone to turn the pucks on a lathe...

Easy answer is that if it's a D30, it's bent!
Seriously though, if you have a bare housing, just look through the tubes from knuckle to knuckle and that will usually give you enough of an idea. If it's bent bad enough to notice with that visual inspection, it's bad enough to cause issues if you run it. Skippy's method with the laser level is good too.
