Best place to sell an old box style Suburban

I built a custom Suburban for my parents after the 78 that my Dad bought started to rust apart many years ago. I ended up taking the body off and swapping on an 85 body onto the 78 frame. While we had it all apart I swapped in a new GM Goodwrench 350, 205 transfer case and 3/4 ton axles and springs. We then had it custom painted. The Suburban has found its way back to my house after my Dad loaned it to another family member. I've been fixing all the stuff the other family member hadn't kept up with. The rig hasn't seen that many miles and still looks good. I have been watching KSL cars and the prices are all over the place for these old box style trucks. Today's prices range from $3500 to $25,000 for the box style Suburbans. Some have been on for a long time and makes me wonder if there might be a better place to list this one I have. Any suggestions ?

Honestly, the prices you see for square bodies on FB and KSL are higher than giraffe pussy. The best you can do is start high and reduce the price over time until you get more interest. The square suburbans are not pulling the same numbers as K5's and K10/20/30's of the same condition. Maybe its due to nostalgia? possible use? I dont know, but they just dont. I think most people who want a suburban just go for a GMT series as theyre cheaper, you get more comfort and TBI/EFI options.

From your description it sounds like your vehicle isnt a resto, but just a well/good kept suburban. I would start at $7k-ish???? But i would probably take the first person who shows up with $5k for it. You might not even get that though, as i said, they dont pull great numbers comparatively.

Unless it looks way better in the pics than in person anyway.
You can always drop the price, especially if you arent in a hurry.

Squarebody prices have been crazy, Parts trucks are selling for $2k

I pretty much only do Squarebody trucks and I watch the market pretty good.
While its true the Burbs dont typically sell for as much as a shortbed truck, NICE burbs bring the money.

There are also a couple of spots where it has some small dings and a spot on the front hood where the family member put a tarp on it for the winter and the tarp or a bungee wore a hole through the paint. I was considering if it might be worth touching up some of the paint spots.

Take 45 pics after a good detail and throw it on Ebay.
Shipping is easy these days and just make it clear the buyer will arrange, you will just help get it loaded when the shipper comes to get it etc...
