I noticed that you run a york on you 350 chevy and that you have relocated your alternator. Did you build your own brackets or buy? Any chance of some closer pics?

I have wanted to put a york under my hood for some time, your set up is clean.

Please explain.

Thanks,

do you run V-belts or Serpitine? The bracket I am using on my 4.3L is actually for a 350 with a serp setup...the bracket only costs about $35 from Kilby...

Unfortunetly there is no way to get that bracket any more. It is one of the last ones built by Harrold of the the old Ready Air. When I swapped in the engine I looked ot every option and decided on it, even though I think the bracket cost about $250. It is the cleenest small block york set up I have seen. The quallity really is first rate. I have seen others that locate the compressor over the power steering pump. I will see what I can do about better pics but I think it will be imposibile to get good ones of the actual bracket. The Jeep is in Holladay If you want to get together and look at it. You could probably copy it.

does it run off harmonic and fan pulley?

The compressor is driven off of a belt that goes around the crank pulley(harmonic) and the fan pulley. The alternator is driven from the other groove in the compressor clutch.

You do rely on two belts to keep the alt running which could be a bad thing but I always carry all spare belts.

When you look at it you realize it is the only way to make it work and keep the compressor in front of the head.
