hey guys. anyone have ideas for me on where I can go to find bolt on stingers? I just sold an offroad bumer I had to pay bills so I am wanting to get a stinger on my existing bumper asap due to my VERY BAD LUCK in hitting animals through the years. Any help would be very much appreciated.

You could always just bolt on an animal ahead of time. That way other animals might be more careful around you.

Just print and tape this to the front bumper, then those pesky varmits will leave you alone. :D

A stinger for hitting animals?!?

to protect the grill area more. if I had one on my samurai it wouldnt have been totalled. In the last 10 years ive hit 2 dear, 2 dogs, came within a foot of an elk and also a couple dairy cows(crazy coastal fog), 15 or so birds, 3 cats, beaver, and 2 nutrea.

haha. I grew up in Tillamook Oregon(yes home of the tillamook cheese and icecream) and farmers were stupid and would move their cows between pastures in the morning when the fog was out.

I suggest getting a manlier vehicle that can handle such animal spearings with ease

This post is the honest truth

They are functional if you are say, crossing a glaciar in Greenland, but they're pointless and silly looking on 99% of the vehicles you see them on. And one would provide you marginal protection against hitting an animal because that is not what they are designed for.

If you truely have such an issue with clobbering wildlife and pets get a bullbar or be more attentive. One costs less than the other.

I call your bluff. This guy WANTS to get a reaction.

If anyone has followed RME at all over the years they would know that NO one in there right mind would suggest that a singer actually does serve a purpose for fear of the sh!tstorm of ridicule it would bring.

That said, I think your right. You may have discovered the one and only purpose to bolt that hidiousness your rig. Bravo!!

First time I ever saw a stinger was on the discovery channel on those arctic trucks back in late 90's. They even showed why they have them. Kept the rig from falling into a crevice that appeared under his tires as he was cruising. They were very long and drawn out more forward than upward.
