just saw that. They found a 3rd bomb too. Supposedly it was a "controlled explosion" whatever that means.

Nope. Two bombs went off in different spots, maybe a third in the JFK library, and it sounds like a bomb squad blew up what might have been a 4th bomb (the "controlled explosion").
Two dead so far. Lots of injured.
I read that the JFK Library was an isolated incident; fire
Freaking sucks... and I'm curious how media will spin it.
As much as I hate to say it, maybe people will wake up and realize that there are just shitty people out there that do shitty things. It's not the object that's the problem, it's the person.
That said, how much longer until they start asking why bombs are not illegal...

KSL says 25-30 people lost at least one limb. I can't imagine how sad it would be to be a good enough runner to qualify for the Boston Marathon and lose you legs because of some *******
Seems to be a common occurrence with these tragedies.

The Boston Marathon is one of the most famous races in the world, so it would be a bigger target. I don't think it will affect the SLC Marathon this weekend very much.
Thats f******* horrible, poor guy just out enjoying a race and now... he's f***** for the rest of his life

EDIT: Not to get on this soap box, but yeah take our guns away this is what people that want to hurt people will turn to. Just me but I would take a gunman on ANYDAY rather than be taken out by a coward bomber

That is so sad. I had seen the picture from the knee up, but that's horrible. My heart aches for that guy.
You notice the one guy (hat) holding/pinching his artery shut? That's crazy. There's another picture of a different angle of this. Sucks man.

While I don't enjoy gore, I think seeing actual pictures of the inflicted damage helps drive how just how tragic this is. It's too bad the news isn't able to show this stuff.
