brake line help

So I spent most of my day today trying to get the toyota brake line to hook up to the ford dana 60 stainless steel line. Evco had nothing, except to start over from scratch which was too much $$$. I could build my own hard line but and thought I could get fittings off a hard line that autozone or napa carried. The 60 side there was only 3/8 hose fittings where as the toyota side is 1/4. any suggestions. Evco can get a fitting to adapt the two but said it wouldn't be here for 2 weeks.

Someone on here (can't recall his name) hooked me up with some funky hoses for my sand rail. Hopefully he'll chime in. I believe the company was Hose Products. Did you try them?

That's a good resource. I might just go see him and see what a set of lines will cost. I like the "drive in/drive out" idea, that's awesome.

Evoc would not make any brake line the last time I tried a couple years ago. Hose and Rubber supply did my last ones for the samurai a couple years ago and no problems.

Eric at Hose and Rubber is good people.

One other option, is to cut the fitting off the Toyota hard line and re-flare it with a standard one--then you can use off-the-shelf soft lines.

They used to not do brake lines. I think they still will only do them at a few of their stores, but I do know they will do them now.

Thats what my original plan was however the line off the dana 60 was 7/16 and they didn't have a fitting to down size. Hose and rubber supply did have the fittings though and I was in and out in 2 minutes.

Thats what I ended up doing. My problem was though I couldn't find a reduce fitting to plug the 3/8" line into the 7/16"stainless steel line. Hose and rubber supply had it though, made me very happy.

They've had everthing I needed for everthing I have done to mine. I won't even use evco any more.

Ya they had everything I needed to hook them up but to have another line made for the rear I had to go back to evco cause they didn't have any of that stuff on hand.
