Brand spankin new

Hello, I am embarrassingly new to all of this. I live in SLC and just purchased a 2015 exterra pro 4x. I wanna try my new toy.
Any suggestions for a beginner?

Nothing to be embarrassed about! I say you should be proud of yourself for wanting to get out more and enjoy the beautiful place we live.

How far do you want to drive? Do you like mountains or desert?

Some of the closest to home are:
-American Fork canyon
-Skyline Drive above Bountiful
-Skyline Drive above Manti
-Pony Express
-Tintic Mountains
-Uintah Mountains
-Diamond Fork/Strawberry area

Remember to go out prepared with emergency supplies. A little extra food and water is a lifesaver this time of year.

Welcome! It is a fun hobby to get into! As mentioned above, the Skyline drive in Bountiful or down south is fun. Look for rides posted here and go with others to learn. Some of the most fun I have had though, is picking a destination on a map and going.

Welcome!

Good to come on to learn, especially when it comes to proper trail etiquette (i.e. how not to act like an idiot and give others a reason to close trails) and safety.
