No kidding, I read somewhere that the husbands family was going to post some stuff online about her "past". It was not cool. I don't see why they would even worry about posting trash like that. I would think they would want to be more interested in finding her.

Josh and his family have apparently zero interest in finding her and seem to never have. Even if its found she ran off with the milkman... he is still a creep.

Odd for sure. My WAG is that something of high interest was found and WVC is there not to search for leads but to process a scene?
I think WVC is using scare tactics... They may have a lead on Ely but they announce it to see if they scare Josh, who I guess is under watch. You know the we are getting close... Go move the body!!
But to defend Josh he innocent until proven guilty. I know if I was in his shoes I would do the same, even if I was completely innocent. If I did cooperate I would probably give them if enough reason to arrest me, and get a jury with attitudes like you, then be convicted. Innocent people in cases like this go to jail even being innocent.
Both families are frustrated with each other, they are just playing the blame game.

Interesting take. Can you cite some examples of similar cases in which an innocent person went to jail? Camping in the middle of winter with toddlers... Fan drying a wet spot on the carpet... Forgot it was Sunday... Forgot to drop kids off at day care... refuses to account for his time... Refuses to say where he camped. Those are the reasons they are focusing on him

They wouldn't drive out there unless something new showed up what ever that may be. Nevada has a CSI office as well alot closer than WVC.

I'll go with "Where there's smoke, there's fire". Suburbanite families do not decide all of a sudden to pack up their young children and venture off into the harsh, frozen West Desert. Doesn't happen. The totality of circumstances adds up to an extremely unlikely scenario or set of scenarios. Lacking explanation, the logical conclusion is "Josh was up to something unsavory".
If it was ME, and I was innocent, I would probably be out there right NOW looking for my wife-- who walks away from that?!? I would also be defending the ever-loving hell out of myself-- I wouldn't be holed up 1500mi away and refusing to cooperate.

First question: if I was guilty I wouldn't look for her. If i was innocent and the last time I talk to her she told me she was leaving me, and don't come after me I wouldn't. We don't know the details of the marriage.

Not in my mini-van, by myself, with my toddlers, at midnight, last minute and then refuse to say where I went
I do random trips and stupid things all the time, but I let someone know where I'm going ahead of time and its not out of the ordinary for me... it was for him. It sure can be held against him and it is... you have the right to remain silent. You don't have the right to live free of judgment particularly when you act creepy. Plain and simple.

As I've said before... even if she is found alive or died at hands other than Josh... he is still a creep and can only blame himself for the hate he has brought on himself. Heck even Mark Hacking pretended to give two-shits that his wife was missing... Josh spent more time remodeling the house than he did searching.

This case is getting as tiring as the Elizabeth Smart case.

12 peers can, and will use your silence against you in a court of law. Sure, it's your right to remain silent, but the point is that any one of us would still be out there actively engaging in a search for our missing wife; if we were truly innocent and WANTED her back. His story, and the facts that we all know do not add up for his lifestyle, as Kurt/Tacoma mentioned. Far too many strange events stacked up in one weekend, and his wife is never seen again. Pretty damn coincidental.. This is why it is hard for many people to think of him as innocent.

Seriously, Josh is weird to bail out of Utah. But I agree (legally), that we only know the facts that we have heard from the news media. One of the interviews he did, he was quoted as saying something like "they have underestimated my discipline".

I really hope she ran off and/or he's innocent. It would be the biggest upset for all these people who can't give benefit of the doubt without knowing much about the case at all.
