Broke an axle shaft.

So I broke a shaft in my Dana 44 arb diff. Rear. How can I get the rest or the shaft out. The splined part is still in. Can I remove a cross pin, the other side axle shaft and just use a small piece of pipe to knock it out?

Yes! Pull the other shaft, get a long shaft/pipe and beat it out. Ive had a few come right out but a few that took a good sized sledge and some monster hits

I have pulled a few by tapping them in to make sure they move easy then a 16 lb extendable magnet is just the right length on a jeep rear to pull out the chunk
