I warrenteed my 30 spliners 5 times... And 4 out of the 5 I was only running 35s.
are you guys that are breaking them using the required hub upgrades, or running cryoed ring and pinions? Ive heard of the hub breaking and shock/breaking the shafts, but usually the pinion shaft will break before the longfield.
I've broken the inner splines, the bell and the shaft but never once the outer hub splines and I never ran chromo hub gears. (I did break hub gears but it never stripped my birfs?) I bought mine before the chromo hub gears were out. As far as my front ring and pinion goes, it wasn't cyroed but was set up by a gear master
and never broke.. I'll see if I can dig up some carnage pics tomorrow
I have a hard time believing he has only seen 90 failures. You see threads like this on pirate all the time.
X2 just from people I know, I'll bet Ive talked to about 5-8 people that have also broken them, If that's the case then add in the few from this thread and that only leaves 75 or so other broken ones? Doubtful. They are a great product don't get me wrong, they are the best out there but they will break. I ran half of one trail with my sticky 37 treps on my heavy 4runner and blew one up(and those tires went back into storage)
