Good Call It was the most basic looking chassis I could find so here is my attempt at it.
Not the best looking chassis but I am trying to keep it simple

Nice, I'm sure it's much harder than it looks! What are the specs? Drivetrain, Tires, Wheelbase, etc? Good luck on the build & keep us posted as it progresses.

Full hydraulic steering
Wheel base 112-115

I was going to use the my donor explorer and build it like a formula toy but decided just to tube the whole thing. The electrical has got me worried as the brain box has 104 wires comming out of it.

I used a painless harness on mine (4.3) and it was a piece of cake. Definatly worth the $ IMO. Not sure if they make one for the ferd though...
Good start, BTW.

What year 302? On my 87 out of a Tbird, I cut the factory harness. They are pretty much a stand alone harness to start with. Don't know where your located, but your welcome to come look at my rig. I went to the Orem City library and got the hays book for my year car. They won't let you check em out, but you can copy pages. I copied all the wiring harness schematics. I also bought a couple of good books on Ford fuel injection. Laid it all out on the living room floor (on a blanket,no grease on carpet for wife) and started cutting out unneeded wires. If I can do it, then most others with a little research can.:D

The EEC on the 87 is the EEC-IV with only 36 wires mine is the EEC-V with 104 wires Thanks for the offer though.

If I can find anyone who can re-program EEC's I can delete most of the sensors
I am going to check out some mustang forums and see what I can find out.

I used the stock motor harness with the 5.0 I had, and then did Painless with the rest. Not too bad. Ford's are not quite as easy and Chevs.

Looks good. Keep the pics coming.
