built me a new bumper

big thanks to RockLogic and Cody(suv) for their skillz.......

no paint on it yet, but i'll be unlazy in an hour or so.....

plus paul and I wired up those there tail lights in that there tailgate. best and cleanest instal i've evr seen ... we'll have to get some pics.

Is that a bumper? It looks like some gray PVC pipe! Just kiddin. But, I don't think that bumper will pass safety in a few months.

From the Utah Traffic Code:

(2) (a) On all motor vehicles under 15,000 GVWR, bumpers shall be:
(i) at least 4.5 inches in vertical height;
(ii) centered on the vehicle's center line; and
(iii) extend no less than the width of the respective wheel track distance.
(b) Bumpers shall be securely mounted, horizontal load bearing, and attached to the vehicle's frame to effectively transfer impact when engaged.
(3) When any motor vehicle is originally or later equipped with bumpers, the bumpers shall be maintained in operational condition and shall comply with this section.


My rear bumper is just a piece of 2" tubing...it passed last time, so I wouldn't worry about it.
