Camping at BFE?

I am coming into the area as usual on a late friday night to enjoy moab. Am supposed to meet some friends to do helldorado sat. morning and would like to camp close in the area. Is it possible to just sleep in the parking area? Or are there nearby facilities. Thanks

As far as I know, Jeremy allows camping in the BFE lot. There is also free BLM camping right across the highway from the road that leads to BFE (the road that leads to Behind the Rocks).

Are you coming in tonight? If you are, be aware that the U4WDA Winter Convention is holding its event at BFE tomorrow (Feb 3rd) at BFE. If you camp there, please do not set up next to all the firewood we left in the parking lot... we will be setting up there in the morning.
