Hello everyone, my wife and I are from Phoenix, AZ and we are planning a trip up to Canyonlands NP Needles District. At least one of the days, I'd like to wheel some of the different trails including Elephant Hill. We don't like wheeling alone, so if anyone is interested in joining us for a day, let me know.

We plan on camping and also doing some hiking. Still considering getting a backcountry pass for one of the nights.

It would be great to meet some Utah wheelers. Hope to hear from you.

Elephant Hill is a cool trail for sure, one of my favs. I have zero interest in hiking but I might be able to meet you for some wheeling. Sat is the only day I could do it possibly since I work Mon thru Friday.

That would great! We can do our hiking on Friday and save the wheeling for Sat. I would imagine setting a time at the visitor center would be best to meet up. I don't think cell phones work out there.

Let me know if you are a definite and we can go from there. Looking forward to it.

Just a bump for anyone else interested in joining in. We plan on running it on Saturday the 24th. If time allows we may explore some of the other trails in or around the park.

Looks like I'm good to go. I'll pm you my #. I'll get to MOAB around 10PM Friday, what time do you want to meet at the trail head?

Great news! Look forward to meeting you. I'll let you set the time since we are most likely camping in the park or just outside on the BLM land. We are usually ready to go by 8AM or earlier for reference, but you have a longer drive. I'll PM you my # as well, but I'm not sure if there is service out there.

I have no problems meeting you @ 8 AM @ the trail head. I drive a silver KJ with a snorkel. The name is Joseph and all those axe murderer charges were all trumped up.
There's no cell service out there.... at least not with AT&T.

Unfortunately this trip has been cancelled. My wife's boss forgot to schedule someone to work for her tomorrow, and no last minute replacement could be found. The trip is a bit too long to do for just two days.

I want to throw out a big apologie to JL Rockies. He was all set to meet up with us on Saturday morning and had to change his plans at the last minute.

We hope to do this trip in the near future, before the weater turns too cold.
