Caves by Steel Bender

We were down playing by the south end of Steel Bender. Came across some obvious man made caves. The caves had chicken wire, plaster, and foam. It almost looked like it had been setup as a prop. Anyone know anything about the caves?

I'm pretty sure they are old Uranium exploration adits turned storage and make shift shelter. I remember climbing thru them 15+ years ago.

I drove in one of them once a long time ago on one of my first couple of trips to Moab.

You can’t drive into these caves. It’s a short little walk to them.
