CB help needed - come on in!

since i have a few other projects out of the way, i need to mount my CB and antenna in my XJ. give me your feedback.

inside i'm thinking about either below ignition switch between steering wheel and radio or passenger side of center console.

outside i would like to mount on rear hatch above tail light. i have a mounting plate i could bend into a 90 degree then glue(strong stuff) or bolt onto exterior. i have a 6' firestick which is why i WANT to mount it there and assume that is a good place for it to prevent it looking like a RC car.

also, with my CB i got a dual antenna split cable, can i only use one to run back to hatch and then keep other tied up in dash?

I would mount the cb out of the way but still able to reach from the drivers seat. The antenna as long as you are not going to keep smacking it and you don't mind how it looks put it where you want. Remember the body can cause interference with your antenna. The cable, yes you can run only one but keep the tied up end off metal to keep from getting fed back
