This is cool stuff. Basically, you put any kind of plant matter in, and you get ethanol out. Cheap. Run America's cars on grass clippings. Very cool. It's way more efficient than ethanol currently produced only from corn kernels, because you can use the whole plant.
So, they taught us in school that America is the breadbasket of the world. Nobody else has the farmland and capacity to grow crops like we do. If this turns out the be the worlds fuel of the future, and we start exporting billions of gallons (instead of importing it), our economy is going to grow like it never has before. Very exciting. And we owe it all to OPEC. Without them artificially jacking up our oil prices and getting rich from us, we would have had no reason to actively pursue such technologies. Thanks middle east. Wanna buy some corn? That'll be $75 per barrell.
