Hey guys i have a couple questions, I did a 1.6 16 valve swap but i didnt swap over the charcoal canister from the sidekick and I removed my Samurai original.

I'm getting fuel in my oil and was wondering if i really need the canister or if i can use a vented gas cap. If i need the canister, Do i need the sidekick one or the samurai one.

Please let me know what you guys think and know. Need it up and safe running before i hit up moab. Please and thank you

You don't need a charcoal canister at all. The fuel in you oil is most likely blow by from worn rings. If you pull your canister out and just leave the hose that was going to it from the gs tank open it will just vent vapors to the atmospher. The PVC system is ment to manage crankcase vapors, as long as it is working you should be ok.
