For those who don't know, Charles (Chuck) Wells just released his 2nd edition of his Moab guide book. It has new trails and great updated info. You can order it spiral bound since the pages seemed to fall out of the old one after a few uses, that's what I have.

I have no affiliation with him or his publisher other than going out on a couple trails with him (I even rolled trying to show off for him ), and knowing that his book has helped save my butt on several occasions.

If interested you can order HERE.

I still have a bunch of the first editions! Anyone wanna buy a first edition?

Good book, though! The spiral will be a great improvement. I'm not a big Moab regular, but even my personal one has started loosing pages.

A friend took his and spiraled it himself. I believe he borrowed the binder at his local library and did it himself?

Just got this book, and it is very nice. Well worth buying the 2nd edition. I just compared the description of Widow maker, it had really changed from one book to the next. We went up there a couple years ago (reading in the book that a Cherokee with 32" tires could make it up.) What we met was more than out match. In the new book, the pictures and description show it as it is, and it says it is a good idea to have somebody in the group take the bypass so they can wait at the top with a strap. I can't wait to go down and use it this weekend!

You're probably ok saying where you bought your, but just be careful not to pimp your shop too much without paying for a vendor account. I'm sure if it's a problem a moderator will say something.

i just got this. way better than the first edition, although i wish it would have had a trail description for the "extreme" trails like rusty nail and area bfe rather than just the starting coordinate. however, the book is very nice. the pictures are actually in color!

Liability... I really havn't seen a Utah trailbook that covers any of the difficult trails, seems their publishers don't want to be sued by some oxygen theif that takes his brand new Rubi on Upper Helldorado and injures himself. ;)
