Mount them yourself... go buy some cheap tire irons at Harbor Freight and a valve stem tool to install the stems if needed. Fill a glass with 1/4 liquid soap and 3/4 water (use that to lube the valve stems as you install them.) Run that soap/water mix around the beads and start working the tires on the wheel a few inches at a time. Inner bead first, then the outer, standing on the tire to keep it in place.

Once you get the tires on, if the wheels aren't super-wide, you should be able to get the beads to seat and air them up. Use the soap as the bead seats. Once you have them aired up, go get them balanced.

I recently mounted my own set of 33" BFG's on steel wheels after deciding to be cheap. I was happy to do it & not pay out the nose for it! I didn't balance ours, since they were used and kind of beat up already. I used to mount & balance tires and we charged $2 mount, $3 balance. $5 total for ANY size... and I did all kinds of massive/custom/expensive stuff. I hate how expensive it is now to get tires mounted & balanced.

I didn't know HF sold tire levers big enough. Oh well, the semi levers I got are the ones I grew up using so it's all good. :D Also, If you can't get the tire to seal when first trying to air them up, ether has never failed me. (on several hundred tires) :D:D

Thanks guys, awesome info. Definitley a good way to save money and do it yourself. For some reason I forgot about doing it yourself, I will try it and see how frustrated I can get.
